Protestors are angry with the austerity program of the Irish government, especially in the introduction of a €100 household tax which will grow up to €1,000 or higher from next year onwards.The tax hikes go back to the EU/IMF bailout program which campaigners have dubbed "the payment of gambling debts of the ultra rich by the middle and working classes."
