Gerald Rozner sent this very important post: "There seems to be a grassroots revolution brewing in Michigan and city after city rejects the Emergency Managers and even sues the State to take back democratic powers and processes -- kudos to the American citizens of Michigan, and I think you understand what I mean."

Greg Manahan reports: "Further to my video report on the latest protests in Rossport, Ireland, against Shell, local activists have uncovered a communication issued by the security firm contracted by Shell and the Corrib gas developers which contains a 'situation report'. It lists the actions and movements of activists in their solidarity camp, which is on private property.

The activists are seeking legal advice, according to the Irish Times, as it would seem that they are under 24 hour surveillance. Neither the company involved nor their contracting corporations would comment on the revelation.

The site rep allegedly has logged details of the location of people and vehicles, which are 'known' to the security operators."

Thanks for featuring my photo from the moving van protest we held on Tuesday August 7th. We rented two moving vans, decked them out with posters and drove them for hours around Detroit City Hall (Detroit is 'reportedly' under a Consent Agreement). Our group, "Free Detroit No Consent" then drove the vans up to The Fisher Building where Roy Roberts has his office as the Emergency Manager for Detroit Public Schools. Through the loudspeakers on the vans we encouraged Roy to bring his stuff down and put it in the vans - we proclaimed this is MOVING DAY and have an EVICTION NOTICE to be served. Video coverage streamed through http://bambuser.com/tag/20120807movingday More information at http://FreeDetroit.org
